WELCOME TO OHIO VALLEY UNIVERSITY
As an unbalanced young person growing up close Pittsburgh, it appeared to be impossible that I would have any effect by any means. In any case, a couple individuals urged me to go to a Christian college. There I found out about God's motivation for my life. I cleared out arranged to seek after that reason and to have any kind of effect on the planet.
That same objective pulled in me to Ohio Valley University, a superb school connected with Churches of Christ. Here we prepare youngsters to have any kind of effect on the planet. Simply envision a situation where the employees are not removed figures behind the platform in extensive address corridors, yet they remain next to you discovering approaches to ceaselessly enhance your learning surroundings.
Presently I accomplish for others what was finished me.

OUR HISTORY: A LIVING VISION
began with a fantasy. Much sooner than the main day of classes, numerous individuals in the district longed for a Christian school in the northeastern quadrant of the United States.
One gathering included Keith and Joan Stotts, Glenn and Shirley Boyd, Bill and Vee Craddock, Bill Curry, Jim Massey, Glen Olbricht, and Bob Roe. Known as the Ohio Group, they supplicated and made arrangements for an approach to give Christian advanced education to youngsters living in the Ohio region. Around then most of the Church of Christ associated schools were in the south or southwestern US, youngsters wishing a Christian instruction voyaged a thousand miles or all the more far from home. Numerous future understudies just couldn't make such a pledge. The individuals who did regularly stayed in the south after school. A school in the northeastern quadrant of the United States would give a spot to understudies to discover quality Christian training near and dear and diminish the loss of the best and brightest in the Church toward the south.
On September 12, 1960, vision got to be reality when the primary understudies and workforce of Ohio Valley College assembled in the Mid-Ohio Valley. This gathering of 39 young fellows and ladies and two full-time workforce met for class in an as of late abandoned church building. Throughout the decades the understudy body, workforce, staff, and physical grounds became exponentially. Thus did the vision.
In 1978, the North Central Association allowed Ohio Valley full accreditation. The school included its initial four-year baccalaureate degree three years after the fact. In 1993, Ohio Valley converged with Northeastern Christian Junior College which brought more understudies, personnel, staff, and assets. In a matter of seconds a short time later the school obtained the previous St. Joseph's Seminary, which included 134 sections of land of area strategically placed not exactly a mile from the first grounds and extended to fill both grounds. In 2005, Ohio Valley College got to be Ohio Valley University.
